Theft of metal

50 metres of armoured electrical cable were stolen
from the ground outside St Mary the Virgin,
Bottesford, overnight Thursday/Friday (28/29 Feb).
As you may be aware contractors are re-laying the approach path to/from Fleming Bridge, and alongside are laying cabling for existing and new lighting. The cable was only laid Thursday but overnight, it was severed from its point of entry to the church and the entire length lifted out.
If anyone was aware of any suspicious activity in that area overnight Thursday/Friday ), or has any relevant information, please call Leicestershire Constabulary on 0116 222 2222, referring to incident number 669, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
