Long Clawson
08/07/08 18:31 Filed in: Local Area
Following
the theft of some building equipment which was
fitted with
a tracking device, a rural location was identified and visited by
Leicestershire and Northamptonshire Constabularies. The result being
that a number of stolen items have now been recovered, valuing more
than £200,000 pounds
With regards to crime in the area:
On the evening of 25th June a timber wolf chipper and various
chainsaws were stolen from the Great Dalby Area.
In the Long Clawson area last week there has been two incidents, a
car which had suffered damage was removed from a field by thieves and
a small car was stolen on the 30th June, which has now been recovered.
There has been two thefts from motor vehicles in the rural area this
week. One has occurred near to Cold Overton and the other near to
Belvoir. I have personally checking some of the car parks and
although the majority of vehicles have nothing on display, some
still do. I recently attended a beauty spot to find a vehicle with
various items on display including a handbag, purse just left on the
seat. Please remember "LET IT ON SHOW, EXPECT IT TO GO".
In the Harston area, a motorbike was removed on the evening of the
29th June.
If you see any suspicious activity please call Leicestershire
Constabulary on 0116 222 22 22 with details.
