Burglary

Leicestershire Constabulary have issued a warning, and are appealing for information, regarding a burglary in Farmhouse Close, Bottesford, on Saturday evening (20 March) between about 22.00 and 22.30 hrs.
Property was stolen after thieves entered the house without forcing an entry. Some property was recovered shortly afterwards from the footpath linking Church View and Pinfold Lane.
Police are asking anyone with knowledge of any person or groups of persons passing through that area in that time window, or with any other relevant information, to contact them (attention DS 1570 Hutchings) on 0116 222 2222, referring to Crime NM 00677/10-7.
The Police also emphasise the need for residents to exercise all reasonable care in the security of their homes, particularly to ensure that doors and windows are locked not only when leaving their homes, but also when watching television etc at a distance from the doors.
