Scam
11/07/07 13:20 Filed in: General
Alerts
Beware of possible scam. A parishioner has
alerted us to a most probable scam letter from
'Free Lotto' - based in the USA. The
statement in the letter that the recipient had won
US$1M without entering the lotto was the bait
to provide more personal information to 'Free
Lotto'. Fortunately the person passed the
letter to NHW & the police. Ask yourself:
if there was no payment to enter the
lotto, how does the organisation get the money
to pay the 'winners'?
