Car Theft

Last night, 13/14 March, an old blue Land Rover Discovery was stolen from a property in Easthorpe, despite it's battered condition and exceedingly little fuel. Police emphasise that owners of even old 4X4s should ensure they are securely garaged or stored.

Distraction Burglery

Leicestershire Constabulary have reported a distraction break at a property on the High St in Waltham-on-the-Wolds last night (11 March).  A person called at the property with the excuse that a vehicle had broken down.
 
We repeat the advice that residents should keep all doors and windows locked, and be particularly careful when answering a knock at a door.
