Clothing Collections

We
have been alerted by residents concerned that
leaflets from the Children's Welfare Foundation
have been posted through doors, prior to a
door-to-door collection of old clothing etc. The
leaflet shows a registered charity number and says
it is in support of terminally ill babies and their
families.
We are indebted to the Newark Advertiser for information that the Charity Commission have confirmed that the Children's Welfare Foundation charity is currently under investigation, following a number of complaints against them. Our advice therefore is not to encourage the Children's Welfare Foundation, but to give your old clothing to an alternative, reputable, charity.
